Dion-Koulai Licence (polymetallic,uranium, gold)
The Dion-Koulai licence, the second of Burey’s three properties which constitute the Kerouane Project, was granted in July 2009. It covers a north-south rectangular area of nearly 300km2 lying immediately west and to the southwest of the sub-district administrative centre of Karala and some 125km to 165km southeast of the regional centre of Kankan.
Burey has a 68% interest in the Dion-Koulai licence and retains the first right to purchase the remaining non-government equity.

Government geological records show two uranium occurrences (Kabadougou and Sissi) located within the licence area which are considered to be prospective for gold, uranium, and associated base metals.
Burey’s field program of mapping, ground radiometrics and soil sampling has located several zones of uranium anomalism, up to eight times background, some 500m wide and up to 5km in strike. The uranium anomalism appears expressed along reverse faults. Gold levels do not appear elevated but may trace leakage along transfer fault lines.
Infill ground radiometrics will precede a nominal 3000m of reverse circulation (RC) drilling with selective core drilling designed to test the main uranium anomalies. Again, the mineralogical association of any uranium mineralisation will bear critically upon its economic potential.
